        Is the NXS system compatible with my bike?

        Yes! NXS works with almost any derailleur — Shimano, SRAM, road, MTB, and even front derailleurs. If your bike has a standard cable-actuated drivetrain, NXS can control it.

        Can I remap the buttons?

        Yes, you can remap the buttons with the Android APP

        Is this Bluetooth or ANT+?

        We use BLE, but it is heavily customized for our purposes.

        How long does the battery last?

        The CR2032 battery in the remote will last 1-3 years. The rechargeable battery in the motor unit is good for about 5,000 shifts.

        Can I trim gears while riding?

        Yes you can! But do so in a safe controlled area, not in traffic.

        Is it difficult to install?

        First time installation is about 30 minutes. Its very simple. If you've done it a couple times, it can be done in 5 minutes.

        What’s HyperShift?

        HyperShift boosts the shifting response slightly. It will over shift about 0.5mm, dwell, then move to the exact shift point. This will result in snappier and more affirmed shifts.

        Can it control other devices?

        The shifting motor is simply a programmable cable puller. So in theory it will control anything that pulls a cable. Customers have creatively used it on many other things, even remote speed control for a lawn mower!
